To Do Before using Diigo in a Class Lesson
1) Watch the video below
Diigo V5: Collect and Highlight, Then Remember! from diigobuzz on Vimeo.
2) Install a Diigo Browser Tool
Depending on your device, you may use a full Toolbar / Browser extension / Diigolet / Web Highlighter. Find out what’s right for your tablet or netbook.
- All devices: Diigo Toolbar or Diigolet for all browsers (or explore all the Tools you can use with your computer or browser.)
- iPad: Get the Web Highlighter if you have an iPad – you can more or less automate the installation if you download the Diigo App for iPad
Here are some of the ways a Diigo tool looks with the different browsers. The one you download could look slightly different.
3) Get a Diigo Account
If you are working with a teacher with a Teacher Account, he or she may give you your username and password. Otherwise, sign-up for an account.
4) Join Groups
“Groups” in Diigo are collections of people who share an interest. You can explore all the groups, but at least Join the Oxley Learners Group
Great Job!
