The main question you will be asked to find an answer for is:

Why all this violence in schools?!!

In other words...

• Why does it happen?
• Who is responsible?
• How can we stop it?
• How does all this relate to the world outside the school gates?

You and a group of teammates will study the issues involved in school violence. By dividing into roles (such as parent, student, counselor, etc.), you will look carefully at many aspects of the topic. Once you have all achieved a level of expertise, your team will come together and use The Six Steps for Nonviolent Social Change to prepare a series of teach-ins, reflections, and negotiations in order to put a real action plan into effect at your school.

When you are ready, you can go onto the section caled "Background for Everyone."
